Precious Coke

Why is coke so precious that I had to take a photo of it along with Lipton ice tea?

Coke is super expensive in Paris. A small glass bottle of it costs $3.50 to $4.00 Euro, which is about US$5.60, at a restaurant. Ouch! Who doesn’t drink Coke when eating pizza? Spencer and I ordered one personal sized pizza along with one pasta dish, 2 Cokes and 2 salads, and grand total of the bill was $48 Euro. Boy, that’s almost US$70 for that simple dinner! When I looked at the bill, we decided no more Coke at any restaurants in Paris!

Even though we both don’t drink much of soda, but still Coke is given anytime with pizza or/and sandwich. So I went to a local grocery store, and picked up this 1.5L Coke along with the ice tea. Both bottles cost me $3 Euro which is about US$4.20. It’s so very painful drinking down some Coke in Paris. I wonder why Coke in Paris is more expensive than a glass of wine. Well, maybe the expensive Coke is one of the reasons that French people stay slim and fit.
