Petit Palais

Right by Champs Elysees, there are 2 museums; one is Grand Museum and another one is Petit Museum. By their names, you can tell Grand Museum is a huge museum while Petit is in a smaller scale (btw, it’s not that petite anyway.) Due to the time I had, I walked in the Petit Palais. Surprisingly, it’s free admission today.

The collections are ranged from 5BC to the 19th Century, and from ancient Greek piece to Christian World in the East and West to Renaissance and all the way to the artistic activities in Paris around 1900. Here are a few pieces that I liked.

This is the only museum I’ve seen so far having a courtyard. The mosaic walkway with sculptures leads to the open-air and beautiful courtyard and a cafĂ© in the courtyard. It’s so quiet and relaxing sitting down and enjoying a sunny afternoon in a museum.
